| Administrative History | In January 1969, the Junior Girls and Junior Boys Schools merged to create St. James' Church of England Junior Mixed School. The school later ceased to exist, being replaced by an academy in March 2021, as part of the Derby Diocesan Academy Trust. |
| Custodial History | These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office by the school in several accessions, dated as follows: 07 February 2006; 19 March 2009; 20 July 2009; 01 December 2010; 17 March 2011; 18 October 2011. Ownership passed to Derbyshire County Council when the school ceased to exist. |
