Description
Pamela Kettle was a schoolteacher for many years in schools in the north east of Derbyshire. On leaving College she obtained a post in a Chesterfield school , then moved to Hollingwood Girls' Secondary School and after eight years gained promotion as a peripatetic head moving round various schools in the north east either as Head or as assistant. After two years of this she obtained the Headship of Heath County Girls' School where she enjoyed twelve halcyon years before Comprehensive education was introduced to the area.
