| Title | Nether Heage-The Mills, pre-1894 |
| Date | late 19th cent |
| Description | Fine view from Nether Heage looking east towards Shores Water Mill in the valley bottom by the brook. By the 1870s it had steam power hence the tall chimney. It fell into disuse early in the last century and was offered for auction in the village in 1936. It was subsequently demolished and little exists today apart from some stonework and the brook. All the other properties around it still exist today. Heage Windmill is present in its earlier form with four sails and therefore obviously predates the previous photograph (0302) when the top of the mill was destroyed in a storm in 1894. |
