Administrative History | By the Local Government Act of 1894 parish councils were established to perform the residuary civil duties which had previously been undertaken by Anglican church vestries. The area of activity for parish councils included street lighting, allotments, recreation grounds, footpaths, war memorials, village halls, public seating, civil celebrations and liaison with district and county councils. |
Custodial History | The minute books were deposited in the Derbyshire Record Office in December 2004 by the Parish Council. The account book was donated in September 2022 by the descendant of a former Clerk of the Parish Council. |
