Birchwood United Methodist Free Chapel School
Administrative History
The chapel was built in 1853 by John Smedley Esq. of Riber Castle, but later purchased in 1874 by church members for £800 from the widow of Smedley. There is a schoolroom attached to the church, as well as a burial ground. The church is part of Ripley Circuit.
