| Administrative History | The Care of the Elderly Working Group monitored services provided by the Geriatricians and Psychogeriatricians, and visited the local hospitals in which the care of the elderly and elderly severely mentally ill beds were placed, including Scarsdale Hospital, Walton Hospital, Bolsover Hospital, Whitworth Hospital, Newholme Hospital and Bakewell Memorial Cottage Hospital and the Cavendish Hospital at Buxton. The Group also visited Markham and Manvers, the Care of the Elderly admission and assessment wards at the Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Royal Hospital, and the Day Hospitals at Bolsover Hospital, the Elderly Rehabilitation Day Unit and Lea Hurst Day Unit at Walton Hospital and the new Stanton Day Unit at Newholme Hospital. |
