Administrative History	The cable tramway which ran from the centre of Matlock up Bank Road to Smedley's Hydro was a feature of local life in the early 20th century.
Custodial History	One item was donated by a private individual in April 2003. Further items were donated by a local resident in March 2013 (and accessioned in December 2022)
