Administrative History
The Redferns were linked by marriage to the Taylor family as well as through their business connections.
Messrs Taylor of Bakewell, later Brooke Taylor, were a long established firm of solicitors with partners involved in many aspects of local life. Papers from them have been received in Derbyshire Record Office over a number of years (DRO ref. D504), and early in 2003 complementary papers transferred by the firm to Derby Local Studies Library in 1959 were re-located to the Record Office to re-unite previously separated parts of the firm's archive. It is these transferred papers which are now referenced D5956.
Custodial History
