Title
Particulars and conditions of the sale by auction on 23 Nov 1886 of stock in the Midland Railway Company and the Sheffield Water Company, and property situated at Hathersage. Lot 1: grocer's shop occupied by J W Broomhead. Lot 2: six cottages occupied by Job Hallam, William Rowbotham, William Hudson, Godfrey Biggin, George Hall, and William Wilson. Lot 3: Townfield 1a-3r-0p. Lot 4: eight cottages called Oddfellow's Row, being occupied by Ann Slinn, Joseph Linamon, Edward Wilson, Elizabeth Richardson, Samuel Nuttall, Henry Bennett, Jemima Slinn, and Eliza Broomhead. Lot 5: two meadows called Hawksworth's Near and Far Meadows 4a-1r-7p. Lot 6: Ibbotson's Long Meadow and Hawksworth Upper Meadow 3a-2r-17p. Lot 7: seven cottages called Bean Row, being occupied by John Littlewood, Joseph Frost, William Bovcking, Edward Winterbottom, Isaac Bagshawe, and Tom Hudson. Lot 8: land called Ibbotson's Croft and Bean Row 2a-3r-32p. Lot 9: five cottages occupied by James Kay, George Frost, John Bennett, James Nuttall, and John Hallam. Lot 10: Bamford House, lately occupied by Robert Cook but now by his widow Mrs Mary Cook; and the Hathersage Works, being the needle mill late of Robert Cook, then of Robert Cook & Company Ltd, and now of Robert Charles Cook.
