Five letters concerning Sir Shirley Salt's Holme Bank Chert Mine, Bakewell: Letters from Taylor, Simpson, & Mosley, of 35 St Mary's Gate, Derby, solicitors, to Mr Taylor of Bakewell, solicitor. 5 Feb 1912 (i) querying the wayleave granted to the Duke of Devonshire for transporting chert beneath the Holme Hall Estate which is to be sold, (ii) Copy of the reply to (I) enclosing a copy of the 1870 agreement 7 Feb 1912 (iii) Letter from Taylor & Co of Derby, in reply to (ii) 8 Feb 1912-asking for the name of the Duke's tenant whose chert mining machinery has recently started to cause considerable nuisance to Holme Hall. (iv) Copy of the reply to (iii) 9 Feb 1912 The Duke's chert quarry tenant is Sir Shirley Salt of Wales whose agent is James Long of Welford House,Bakewell. (v) Acknowledgement of (iv) 12 Feb 1912
