Title
Agreement between (1) the Duke of Devonshire; and (2) Francis Gisborne of Holme Hall, Bakewell, esq,; - reciting that the said Duke owns lands at Bakewell containing chert quarries [Holme Bank Chert Mine] which are still being worked, and that Gisborne owns adjacent land which also contains working chert quarries [Holme Bank Chert Mine]. The Duke hereby grants to Gisborne the right, so long as any chert remains unworked in the latter's land, to carry chert from Holme Hall Mine across the Duke's land to the public road. Gisborne covenants to construct a tunnel from his workings into the Duke's Holme Bank Mine through which the right of usage so long as any chert remains unworked in the Duke's land. With plan 12 Feb
