Description
concerning his ancestors: his great uncle, old Matthew Andrew of Eyam, miner, "a great man amongst the Methodists and used to go by the name of 'the old Bishop'" who died about 20 years ago; deponent's grandfather, George Andrew, a Lieutenant in the Army; etc [Matthew Andrew was one of the original trustees of Baslow Methodist Chapel, and it was necessary to establish who were his heirs so that they could participate in the conveyance of the chapel, as below]
