Administrative History | The Writers’ Circles’ Summer School was first held in 1949, organised by Cecil Hunt, Chairman of the London Writers’ Circle, and has since been held at the Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick for one week annually, running courses and workshops for its attendees and inviting Guest Speakers to lecture on book authorship, publishing and technology. In 1952 it changed its name to the Writers’ Summer School. |
