Spondon Parish Council
Administrative History
Spondon Parish Council was established under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1894. It helped to provide local public amenities and services such a street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liaise with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area. The parish was absorbed into the county borough of Derby in 1968.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in October 1968 and September 1996. Added to the catalogue by Lien Gyles, as part of the FindersKeepers project.
