Administrative History
The Creswell Temporary Council School was originally held in the Drill Hall. On Monday 1st March 1909 a new schoolroom opened in the United Methodist Church. There were six scholars admitted over the first five years. The infants department closed in 1914, with the remaining children being transfered to the Church of England Infants School.
The Creswell New Council School was opened in 1913. In 1950, the Drill Hall was again used as a temporary classroom. By 1957 the school had become known as the Creswell County School.
