This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A plan of some Inclosure at Romley belonging to Mr Wright, which he Bought of Ld Bathurst Taken May 1st 1741 By Wm. Hargrave. Surveyor:William Hargrave. Scale: The Scale of 40 in the Inch or 4 chains in ye Inch numbered 0-15 [1:3200]. Size: 43 x 26 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper. Centred on: SK472745 Notes: compass rose, top of sheet north-west. Estate map, 37 acres, showing 9 adjacent closes, boundaries as trees, fences, etc. gates, paths, avenue of trees, stream: part of Sutton House drawn: adjoining owners named, field-names and areas in separate table: enclosures letters A-I, no names for D or E: endorsed 'William Hargraves survey of Lord Bathurst's Land May 1st 1741'.
