Administrative History
Thomas was the second son of William Wright of Great Longstone. The Eyam estate was settled on him by his father, and he is said to have built the present Eyam Hall. His son John Wright of Eyam sold the Unthank estate in 1678. Thomas's second wife was Ann Shiercliffe (see series D5430/54), and one of his daughters was Rebecca (1646-1676), who may be the Rebecca referred to in some of these papers.
