Description
This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A map or plot of Eyam Pasture as it was divided and Alotted to hevry Person their proportianable part. June ye 20 1702. Scale: of 10 chains [1:3200]. Size: 26 x 60cm. Materials: faded ink on parchment. Centred on: SK225774 Notes: north at top. Shows pasture outlined with continuous line and divided with dashed line: each plot contains names of landholder and acreage: one road runs through and leads off south 'the way to ye Great Pasture': endorsed 'The partition of Eyam Pasture'. Location: DRO, D5430/17/1/4; copy in DRO, D5430/17/1/7, later copy on paper, very clear, with assessment [DRO, D5403/17/1/6] on back.
