Administrative History | Whitwell Wesleyan Chapel was built in 1891-1892 at a cost of £1,130 raised by subscriptions. It replaced an older chapel, built in 1858, which was then used as a Sunday School. The new chapel was described as 'a neat oblong building of brick in the Gothic style, with sitting accommodation for 350' (Bulmer's Directory, 1895). |
