Certificate by John Clandon of Newton Solney aged 60 and more, William Boylestone of same aged 60, Thomas Hendeley of same aged 60, Thomas Webster of same aged 50, John Gifford of same aged 60, Richard Hunt of Repton aged 80, Richard Pratt of same aged 60 and Richard Wayte of same aged 60, Richard Nyke of same aged 60, John Pole of same aged 60, Robert Cawke of same aged 60, John Laurence of same, Thomas Carrott of Bretby aged 72, William Michell of same aged 66, Robert Gilberd of Winshill aged 90, William Winshill of same aged 80 that Sir Nicholas Longford knight and John Lathbury esquire and their ancestors have been whole lords of Newton Solney and that a parcel of the manor that John Babington late claimed is part of the manor and in proof there is a parcel of meadow given by the previous lords "off olde tyme" to the Prior and Convent of Repton for the tithe meadow of all the demesne lands; never heard or knew of estate made to William Pyrton nor did their ancestors
