Description
Land at Doghole in Brampton (8 acres) purchased 1756-1838 by CD Gladwin from George Wilson, Dec 1838, for £580. The property is described on a plan in D522/CW/18/29.An abstract of title (D522/CW/18/25) made in 1838 takes the title for this property back to a conveyance in Apr 1756 by John Barnes of Holme, Chesterfield to George Wilcockson. Josiah Wilcockson sold the property to John Wilson in Mar 1811 (an attested copy of this is D522/CW/18/26) and by Wilson's will, made Aug 1835, proved Oct 1838 in Lichfield (copy is D522/CW/18/27), G Wilson was made sole executor. He then sold the property to CD Gladwin (D522/CW/18/28-29).
