Ca. 1220 Quotclaim from Moses son of Hugh de Roumarhes to Richard de Cellar of Gayteford, of all claim he had in a bovate of land in the territory of Lyndrick, in Wdesetes, ½ a bovate lying between the land of Thomas son of William de Refford and the water which runs towards the north to Hollebee, the other ½ beside the road leading to Gayteford and is nearer the road towards the north; together with a toft and buildings. 3. Ca. 1220 Grant from Moses de Wudesete, son of Hugh de Roumarhes, to Richard de Cellar of Gayteford, of a bovate of land in the territory of Lindrick, that is in Wudsete, which he held by grant of Ranulph de Newmarket, with a toft and buildings. Of which ½ lies between the land of Thomas son of William de Refford and the water which runs towards the north to Hollebec, and ½ beside the road leading to Gayteford, and is nearer the road towards the north. Annual rent to the heirs of Ranulph de Newmarket at Karleton, 6/-. Witnesses as in No. 2.
4. Ca. 1250 Grant from Richard de Cellarius of Gayteford to John his son, of ½ a bovate of land with a toft and buildings in Wudesete in Lyndrick, which he bought of Moses son of Hugh de Roumarrhes, lying between the land of Thomasson of William de Refford and the water which runs towards the North of Hollebec. Annual rent 4/-. If John should die without heirs, the land is to go to his sister Agnes; if both go without heirs, it is to revert to Richard. 5. Ca. 1250 Grant from Richard de Cellar of Gayford (sic) to Agnes his daughter, of ½ a bovate of land which he bought of Moses son of Hugh de Roumarheys, and a toft with 2 a. of land in the territory of Wudesete; lying beside the road leading from Gayteford to Wudsete on the north side. Also the toft in Suthwude which he bought of Radulf de Aldom, lying between the toft of Galfrid on the north side and the toft of Walter de Gilthwyt; with an acre of land in Wudesete, lying between the land of John Wuderoue and the land of the said Walter, and another acre lying on the western side of the vill between the land of John son of Adelin and that of Matilda la Tornere, abutting on the head of Anestan and the land of the said John. Annual rent 2/3d, and ½ d “to light the Blessed Mary” in her chapel of Wyrkesop on the day of the Lord’s nativity. If Agnes die without heirs, the land to go to her brother John; if both die without heirs to revert to Richard. Witnesses as in previous document.
6. Wed. before Easter 1284 – Quitclaim from John son of Richard de Celar in Wyrkesop to John de Aldham in le Wodesetes, for an unspecified sum, of all claim he had in ½ a bovate of land in the fields of le Wodesethes, which he held by grant of Richard his father. 7. Friday before Pentecost. 1321 Grant from William de Aldam of Wodesetes to Dom. Hugh de Eland knight, of Doncaster, and Joan his wife, or whichever lives the longest, of all his messsuage and land in the vill and fields of Wodesetes in the parish of Anstan. Wit. – Dom. Ca. 1280 Grant from Gerard le Sawage of Gayteford to Elyas Ciffori of Wirkesop of 1 1/2d. of land in the territory of Gaytefford, between “the land which Henry le Bonde holds of me on the east and my own land on the west”, and abutting on Holwelles at the southern head and the land of Roger de Gayteford cleric at the northern Annual rent 1d. Ca. 1280 Grant from Gerard le Savage to Richard Camerarius, “manens” in Rolton, of ½ a bovate of land with a toft and a croft and buildings in the vill of Gaitford, formerly held of Gerard by Hugh de le Hil. Also all the following, goods and chattels of the said Hugh, for a sum of money. Annual rent ½ d. 10. Ca. 1280 Sale from Thomas de Camera of Gayteford to Roger his son, for 40/-, of a place of a toft on the south side of his house, 11 perches in length and 7 perches in breadth; with a bovate of land in the territory of Gaytedord, lying in diverse places on the west side of the road which leads from Gaytefor (sic) to Wirkesop. Annual rent 1d. 11. Ca. 1300 Grant from Roger son of Thomas de Camera of Gaytesford to Matilda and Isouda his sisters, of a toft with buildings in the vill of Gayteford which he had by grant of Thomas his father; with a bovate of land belonging thereto, in the field of Gayteford, in le Bozam, on le Wang, on le Hevedwang, at le Waterfures, on Witemantoft, at Holewell and at Colemor; saving to Roger a plot of 30 ft. in length and breadth on the south side of the house, for building. Annual rent 1d. If one sister die without heirs, the other is to hold the property; if both, it is to revert to Roger. Wit. – Dom. 13. Sunday before June 29 1305 Grant from Thomas called le Chaumberlayn, “Manens” in Wyrkesop to William de Gayteforth and Isabella his wife, of a toft and ½ a bovate of land in the vill and fields of Gayteforth, formerly of Henry Goyewodenere, 2 ½ a. of the said bovate abutting on the said toft, and 1 a. lying in a place called le Bothom, abutting at one head on Carletongat and at the other on land of Geoffrey le Chapman. And 1 ½ a. abuts at the northern head on the vill of Gayteforth and the southern head on Barbolwong; and ½ a. lies on Huercroft, of which the northern head abuts on Stotburyhoved and the southern on le Bothem and is a headland of that plot which is called Hauercroft. And ½ a. lies in le Bothem, of which the eastern head abuts on land which Robert del Connel held. Also a toft with an acre of land in the vill of Gayteforth between land which William Seliman holds and the toft of Richard son of Henry Esq. 14. Friday Sept. 29 1307 Quitclaim from Thomas le Deken of Dunham to Agnes his daughter, of all claim he had in ½ a. toft with buildings in the vill of Gayteforth and ½ a bovate of land in the field of the same, which he held through Matilda, formerly his wife.

15. Sept 29 1307 Lease for 20 years from Agnes, daughter and heir of Matilda, daughter of Thomas de Camera of Gayteforth, to William de Gayteforth, of ½ a toft with buildings in the vill of Gayteforth and ½ a bovate of land in the field of the same, which Roger son of Thomas de Camera granted to Matilda; with quitclaim from the same to the same, of all right she had in ½ a toft with buildings and ½ a bovate of land which Hugh de Gayteforth cleric and Isolda his wife hold there, for 20 years. 16. Friday Dec. 6 1308 Grant from Richard son of Henry Cocs of Gayteforth to William de Gayteforth of a toft and a bovate of land in Gayteforth, formerly held by Ralph del Hill. 17. Thurs. Nov. 20 1309 Quitclaim from Agnes, daughter of Matilda daughter of Thomas de Camera of Gayteforth, of all claim she had in ½ a toft with buildings in the vill of Gayteforth and ½ a bovate of land in the field of the same, which Roger son of Thomas de Camera granted to Matilda. 18. Sunday after Jul. 7 1311 Quitclaim from Roger Le Sauvage of Worksop to William de Gayteforth, of all claim he had in a toft with buildings lying in le Briggates of Wyrkesop, between the toft of William del Holme on the south side and the water of Brese on the north. Wed. before Nov. 30 1318 Sondun to Cecilia, formerly wife of John le Bagger of Wyrkesop, deceased, of a toft in le Briggate of Wyrkesop, between the toft of Thomas le Buk on the north side & the water called Brese on the other; with 4 ½ a. of ploughland in the territory of Gayteford; of which 3 lie at the cross of Gayteford between land of Robert de la Bore on the north side and land formerly of John le Bagger on the other; 1 a. on Galtrehill between land of Roger Wyteoak on the west and that of Ascilia Moys on the east and ½ a. between land of William de Gayteford on the West and that of Dom. Oct. 18 1386 Lease, for life and 2 years following, from William son of Thomas de Chaumbirlayne of Thorpe Rekenyld to John de Gattford, of all lands he has in the vills of Holmekarr, Cawle, Wyrkesop, Shirokes and Gattford. Annual rent to William at Wyrksop, 26/8d. Wit. – Edmund de Burton, Henry de Sterup, John Tyllyng, John van Lyn of Wyrkesop.
22. May 10, 1411 Grant from Alice Lambe of Schyrokes to William Lambe her son and Joan his wife, of a toft with a garden and an acre of ploughland adjacent in Schyrokes, formerly held by Thomas Smelcher. To hold by annual payment of 12d. to the priory of Wyrkesope. Wit. – John Dousie of Schyrokes, William Rochard of the same, Thomas Stumbulland of the same, John son of Gilbert, John Scholley of the same.
23. Nov. 11 1441 Lease for 6 years from John Gaytfford of Gaytford to John Westnes, John Attvicars and Thomas Frost, of his manors of Gaytford, Harwell and Flixthorpp, with appurtenances in Wyrkesopp, Kylton, Carleton, Blyth, Hamerston, Rannskyll, Torworth, Everton, Hayton, Eton, Bole, Estretford, Westretford, Ordessall, Babworth, Milneton and Lytyll Markham. Annual rent £20.
24. Sept. 29 1452 Grant from Adam Walchman of Wirksope to Walter Walcheman of Gaytfford and Alice his wife, of ½ an acre of land lying on Qwytmantoft in the territory of Gayttford, between land of John Talbott knight on the south and that of John Gayttford on the north, abutting on the road leading to Wirksope. 25. 14th Cent. Grant from Simon son of Richard “Institor” (Pedlar) of Retford to Adam Prat of Retford, for 8 marks of silver, of 9 doles of meadow in the Meadows of Westretford on the western side of Hiddil, lying between the meadow of Hugh Brun of Retford on one side and that of John son of Radulf on the other. Annual rent 3d. Wit. – Dom. Robert at that time Dean of Retford, Robert son of Hugh de Retford, John son of Radulf of the same, Hugh Brun of the same, Simon son of Robert, John Honne parson, Thomas son of Richard, William son of Paulinus, Radulf de Grenley, Robert de Wellum.
26. 14th Cent. Grant from Simon …..(word illegible through damp) of Retford to Adam Prat of Retford, for 10 marks, of 2 selions of land in the territory of Retford and Hoddistorp towards Fulford, one of which he bought of Richard his brother and the other near his own land towards Fulford (or, of his own land near Fulford); and one selion towards Oddistorp, in length from the road which leads towards Oddistorp as far as Hutgang between the land of Robert son of Hugh and the land of John Tanner; and one selion towards Henbigging, in length from the Bishop’s road as far as Wyvelesker, between the land of Nigel le Goggo and the fee of Grave, which he bought of Richard his brother. Also 2 doles of meadow in the meadows of Oddistorp, viz. one in Langdales and the other abutting on the alder-grove of Bolum, lying between the meadow of Hugh Brun and that of John son of Radulf. Annual rent 6d. 27.14th Cent. Grant from Richard son of Richard de Retford, Institor (Pedler) to Adam son of Ranulf Prat of Retford, for 3 pounds of silver, of 2 selions of ploughland in the territory of Retfor’ and Hoddistorp; one lying on the north side of Hillesende beside land that was of William Institor, from the Bishop’s road in length as far as Wyvelesker, and in breadth “as far as belongs to me” in that place; the other lying beside Calle extending towards the house of Alan de Hoddistorp as far as Mordicke and Gadelandes, and on the northern side beside the land which was of William Institor; also a selion at Marstall extending from the road which goes to Retfor' as far as Mordicke. Also 2 doles of meadow in the meadows of Hoddistorp, viz. in longdal and another abutting on the mill of Bolum. Also an acre of land with buildings, extending from the road of Hoddistorp to Mordic.
