Description	1.Mar.25 1649 Lease for 21 years from Alane Lockhart and Dame Elizabeth “Hoode” to John Hamond of a messuage, a mill and land in moor Shireoaks. With promise by Hamond to convey yearly one cartload of coal from Barlbrough Pitts to Gaytford Hall for the child Alane and Elizabeth, paying the cost of the coal at the pits; to pay them 12 rent chickens yearly; and to grind for them as much corn as they shall use in their homes. 2. June 19 1625 Sale from Sir John Thornhaghe and his Son Sir Francis Thornbaghe to Sir George Lassells of lands in Sturton (field names given.) 3. Oct. 26 1720 Assignment from Martha White to Joshua Ellis and Thomas Nelson of a 21 years’ lease of lands in Gateford (field names given) made by John Taylor to Herbert White, deceased husband of Martha. 4. Oct. 28 1660 Grant from Edward Simpson (on settlement on his wife Alice) to John Stow, of a messuage in Northgate, Tickhill, and lands there. 5. Jul. 3 1759 Extract from a Court Hall, recording this surrender on May 15 1759, from Benjamin Bartles, Martha his wife, and Elizabeth Heathcote (these being the daughters of Cornelious Heathcoate, Doctor in Physic. Late of Cutthorpe, Derbys) and others, to the lord of the manor, of a 2/3 share in a messuage in the South End of Thorne, with lands (field names given).
