Grant from Adam de Grideling of Witewell to Dom. William de Faucenberge, knight, uncle of Adam, of his minor “which is called ‘my chamber’ “ thoro; with a toft and croft, houses and buildings; and 90 acres of arable land of his domaine, as it lies in the territory of Barlborough and Whitewell, 51 acres in the vill of Barlborough, in a certain “cultura” on the northern side, and 39 in Whitwell around le hortuise in a certain “cultura” on the northern side. Also his meadow of 6 acres in Barlborough

Also all services due to him in Barlborough, Remalay, Clune, Thorlestorp and le Wide: and all his villenages and cottages in Barlborough, and all his villeins and cottars and all their follewing and chattels. Also Robert son of James de Witewelle, and Robert in le Dale of the same, his bandmen, with their villeinages, follewing and chattels. Also 5/7d of annual rent due from Adam Fox of Witewelle. The holdings yield an annual rent of £50. Of which he has received (on Apr. 25. 1290) the next years’ rent in advance.
