Description
1. Mich., 1589 (June 3 1685) Copy of Fine from John Rodes to John More and John Bassett of the Manor of Barlebroughe and messuages, lands etc.
2. Oct. 27 1597 Bond in £1,000 from James Stephenson, rector of Barlebroughe, to John Rodes Esq., not to resign the rectory without licence from him.
Wit. – William Wo(dr?)ew, William Crompton, John Bennett.
3. Trin. 1598 Copy of Fine, Parcel 40, No. 11.
4. Oct. 2 1600 Duplicate of Parcel 40, No. 15.
5. June 9 1601 Release from James Stephenson, parson of Barlebroughe, to John Rodes, of all debts, duties and demands against him.
Wit. – John Bennett, Henry Hawley.
6. Mar. 30 1606 Original of Parcel 40, No. 18.
7. May 9 1612 Receipt for procurations for the Rectories of Barlbroughe and Elmeton.
8. Aug. 9 1615 Lease for 21 years from James Stephenson, rector of Barlbroughe, to Roger Rowley, vicar of Elmeton, of the rectory of Barlbroughe.
9. Jan. 16 1616 Sir John Rodes’ presentation of Ralph Booker to the rectory of Barlebroughe, vacated by the death of James Stephenson.
10. Feb. 6 1618 Lease for 90 years from Bryan Heppenstall, rector of Barlbrough, to Franncys Butcher, blacksmith of Clowne, of the tithes of Barlbrugh.
11. Oct. 15 1691 John Rodes’ presentation of James Cook to the rectory of Barlsbrough, vacated by the death of Phineas Mace.
