Description1. Feb. 3 1567 Letters Patent of Queen Elizabeth I, being an exemplification of depositions of witnesses in the care of William Renyngton V Bryan Lassells and Rowland Lawe.

2. Nov. 7 1693 Mortgage from Dame Martha Rodes to Christopher Johnson of classes in Barlbrough (many field names given.)

3. June 23 1698 Lease for a year from Sir John and Dame Martha Rodes to Charles Sanderson and Richard Crapper, of the manor of Elmton with appurtenances in Creswell, and the tithes of these two places.

4. Mar. 31 Agreement between John Barker Gent of Barlbrough and Sir John Rodes, that Barker will levy a fine of certain closes (names given) in Barlbrough before and of next Trinity Term, and that Sir John shall have power to mine coal in these closes, and shall fill in all coal-pits when no longer worked.

5. Nov. 7 1721 Lease for a year from William Long to Peter Glossop of a messuage in Barlborough.

6. Jan 28 1728 Release from Cornelius Copley, Anne his wife and Dorothy Greenwood, all of Dronfield, to Gervase Taylor, blacksmith of Barlbrough, of lands in Barlbrough (field names given).

7. Oct. 20 1741 Lease for 31 years from Sir John Rodes to Thomas White, of a messuage with Pibley Mill and some closes (names given); also a messuage near Nichol-carr-Hill with right to Thomas to build and use a windmill in the close Nittiker Hill.

8. Nov. 17 1769 Lease for a year from George Machon, cabinet-maker of Bolsover to William Bettinson and Godfrey Machan, of a messuage and Godfrey Machan, of a messuage and lands (field names given) in Barlbrough.

9. June 12 1790 Marriage Settlement for Peter Acklam Reaston of St. John’s College, Cambridge, and Elizabeth Heathcote of Barlborough Hall.
