In Staveley, in a place called Sprowsley), Hugh, Suthall al. Sotall, which he granted to Sir John by deed of Nov. 20 1583.

Nov. 3 1693 Release by William Lord Byron and Andrew Clayton gent. of Rownley, Derbys. to Sir John Rodes, of messuages and lands in Gateford and Shireoakes; following a sale from Sir Francis Rodes to the said Lord Byron Edward Fogge of Beaucheiffe and Andrew Clayton, of the manor of Sturton, with lands in Littleborough, Gateford, and Shireoaks, dated Apr. 21, 1675, to discharge Sir Francis’ debts.
