Description
Deeds and papers relating to land at Ashford and Great Longstone in the parish of Bakewell, Derbyshire. Primarily relates to the families of Cooper, Green and Furness. The three familes are related in that Joanna Cooper married John Green, and their daughter Sarah married George Furness.
A note accompanying the papers stated that the deeds relate to land purchased from the Personal Representatives of George James Furness Esq., by the Aylesham Housing Association Limited.
Bundles have largely been kept as they were, even though some clearly relate to more than one piece of land.
The items in sub series D504/102/13 were found with the series' D504/155-157, but have been aded to this series as they relate to the Aylesham Housing Association Limited.
