Administrative HistoryThe Blaby Brick and Tile Co Ltd was purchased in 1947 as part of the Butterley Company's policy to expand their brick-making business. They had works at Blaby in Leicestershire which produced high class facing brick ready for sale. In 1955 it merged with the Company's own brick operations to become the Butterley and Blaby Brick Companies Ltd. In 1967 the name was changed to the Butterley Brick Co Ltd. It was liquidated in 1979.
