Administrative History | Tapton Parish Council was established in 1913, by order of the County Council. It helped to provide local public amenities and services such as street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liaise with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area. In 1920 Tapton was included within the boundaries of the Borough of Chesterfield. |
