Riddings Independent (later Congregational) Chapel
Administrative History
The chapel at Riddings was erected in 1821, with the worshippers describing themselves as Predobaptist Congregationalists. The congregation moved into the school rooms adjacent to the chapel in the 1980s and the chapel was sold and later demolished by the new owners. Following a decline in numbers, meetings in the school rooms ceased in September 1997.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in November 1998 by the church and in October 2001 by the Derbyshire district of the United Reformed Church.
