Archive CreatorSpringfield Junior Mixed School, later Springfield Primary School, Spondon
Administrative HistorySpringfield School in West Road, Spondon, was opened in September 1932 to take children who could not be accommodated at Spondon St. Werburgh's Church of England School. Following an academy conversion agreement dated 25 May 2017 (see DCC/LG/CX/3384) Springfield Junior School ceased to exist, being replaced by an academy.
Custodial HistoryThese records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in two accessions, on 06 October 1998 and 29 August 2012. Ownership passed to Derbyshire County Council when the school ceased to exist.
