Administrative History | Tibshelf Colliery Schools were established in 1873, built by Tibshelf Colliery Co. for boys and girls. A school for infants was opened in 1889. After 1900 they became Council Schools, and in 1914 their names were changed to Alfreton Road Council Schools. In 1952 the infants were transferred to Staffa Street Infant School, leaving the older children at Tibshelf Junior Mixed School, later known as Tibshelf Town End County Primary School. |
