Administrative History | The Derby Diocesan Advisory Committee for the Care of Churches is a statutory committee established under the Faculty Jurisdiction Measures 1938 and 1964. Its purpose is to advise on any works involving the alteration of, or addition to, the structure, fittings, ornaments and contents of any church or churchyard. The Committee usually works with the parish in the early stages of planning towards the eventual granting of a faculty or archdeacon's certificate in the case of minor repairs. |
