Administrative History | Taxal Parish Council was established under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1894. It helped to provide local public amenities and services such as street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liase with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area.
By the Chester and Derby Order 1935, Taxal with Kettlehulme was transferred from the Cheshire to Derbyshire, and parts transferred to the civil parishes of Whaley Bridge and Hartington Upper Quarter. |
