Administrative History | Fernilee Parish Council was established under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1894. It helped to provide local public amenities and services such as street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liase with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area.
By the Derbyshire Review Order 1934, part of Fernilee was transferred to the borough of Buxton, and by the Chester and Derby Order 1935, part was transferred to the parish of Hartington Upper Quarter. |
