Administrative History	Rural District Councils were created by the Local Government Act 1894 to administer services largely relating to public health. Glossop Dale RDC included Charlesworth, Chisworth and Ludworth. By the Derbyshire Review Order 1934, these areas were transferred to Chapel en le Frith RDC.
Custodial History	These records were deposited in September 1986.
