Administrative History | The Local Board of Health for Alvaston and Boulton was set up in 1851. In 1894 it was replaced by an Urban District Council, with responsibilities for services involving public health, water supply, sewerage, drainage, planning and highways. By the Derbyshire Review Order, 1934, the UDC was abolished, its functions being taken over by Derby Corporation. |
