Administrative History
J G Jackson began to practice as a solicitor in Belper in the 1860s. He first appeared on the list of solicitors printed in the annual law diaries in 1864. In 1877 he was admitted to the official roll of County Solicitors. E G Jackson was admitted in 1873 and F J Jackson in 1878. The firm later (post 1941) became known as Moss and Jackson. The collection also includes records of Anthony Bell, Grocer and Tea Dealer of Belper as well as John Harrison, a private resident of The Lawn, Belper.
Custodial History
Deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in November 1996. Added to the catalogue as part of the FindersKeepers project by volunteer JW.
