Administrative History | The association was established in 1946 as the Derby District Association. In 1960 it was renamed the Trent Valley Primary Schools Association with the aim of "fostering educational activities among the affiliated schools". Membership was open to schools in the South Derbyshire Divisional Area. The following schools were members of the association: Alvaston and Boulton; Ashbourne Secondary Modern; Aston on Trent; Breadsall, Hill Top; [Chaddesden], Cavendish Close; Chaddesden Park; Etwall; Findern; Hatton; Little Eaton; Littleover, Church of England; Littleover County; Littleover, St Peters; Melbourne County Junior; Mickleover County; Ockbrook, Redhill; Shelton Lock; Shelton Secondary Modern; Spondon Asterdale; Spondon House; Spondon Springfield; and the following unidentified schools 'Cherry Tree Hill'; 'Morley Road'; 'St Albans'. The association was disbanded in 1968. |
