Title
Kniveton Church of England Primary School
Date
1871-1986
Description
Documents in Kniveton parish records suggest the school was built in 1844-1845 (see particularly D1139A/PI80) and was probably enlarged at the end of the 19th century. The school has benefited from John Hurd's will of 1715 which left money towards a school and schoolmaster. These records were transferred to Record Office in November 1995.
