Administrative History
The South Normanton Board School opened in 1878. It became the Council School, and in 1903 a new Girls' School opened on New Street and a new Boys' School on South Street, both in South Normanton.
Custodial History
Transferred to Derbyshire Record Office in April 1974 as D1389 but were reaccessioned in 1995. Added to the catalogue as part of the FindersKeepers project by Derbyshire Record Office staff. The Infants log book, 1878-1910 was anonymously sent to Derbyshire Record Office in Novewmber 2017.
