Description
In consideration of the fortune of Elizabeth (lease- hold messuages and tenements in London and Middlesex and sundry personal estate), assignment of 4 freehold closes in Doveridge, called Upfield, Slaters Close, Bulls Pingle and the Meadow adjoining Broxford (34 acres) to James Stevens of Mansfield, gentleman, brother of Elizabeth, and Samuel Jenken of Farnsfield (Nottinghamshire), esq., upon trusts for Rowbotham until the marriage and thereafter to such persons or purposes as Elizabeth shall direct by deed or will, and in default of such direction or until such direction shall take place, to Stevens and Jenken in trust to receive the rents and profits during the life of Elizabeth for her use and after her death, to pay the same to the children of their bodies. Covenant by Rowbotham that when the marriage is solemnized he will convey to Stevens and Jenken, 3 copyholds closes in Doveridge, called part of Broxford Close, part of Bonds Close and part of Ashmore Field (11 acres) upon trusts as above. 1 Nov 1808
