Administrative History | A Wesleyan Methodist chapel is said to have been built in Hartshorne near the end of the 18th century. A new chapel was commenced in 1904 and the old chapel sold in 1922. The church was part of the Ashby-de-la-Zouch Wesleyan Methodist circuit until 1873, part of the Woodville and Swadlincote Methodist circuit until 1955, and since thenpart of the South Derbyshire Methodist circuit. For a brief period from 1962 to 1967 it was part of the Newhall and Woodville Methodist circuit. |
