Administrative History
A Wesleyan Methodist Church was built in Stanton by Dale in 1860 on land leased from Earl Stanhope. It altered in 1903-1904 and 1925. The Church closed in 1997.
In 1932 the Wesleyan Methodist Church joined with the Primitive Methodist and United Methodist Churches to form the Methodist Church.
Custodial History
The records were deposited by Long Eaton Methodist Circuit at various dates between 1973 and 2003. Some of the records were previously accessioned as part of the Circuit collection (see D1213) and were reaccessioned in 1995.
