Administrative History
Quarndon was originally a chapelry subject to Derby All Saints, but was largely inactive after the dissolution of the college of All Saints. In the eighteenth century it became a curacy and for many years was held by the vicar of Derby St Alkmund. Between 1712 and 1802 many Quarndon entries are in the registers of Derby St Alkmund. Quarndon became a separate parish around 1821.
