Administrative History | Calke is an ancient parish. It was originally appropriated to the Augustinian Priory of St Giles at Calke, and after the dissolution passed as a private peculiar into the hands of the Harpur Crewe family. In recent years the church has been used as a private chapel by the Harpur Crewe family. It is served by the vicar of Ticknall, and the former parish is now administered as part of the parish of Ticknall. |
