Administrative History
The church of St James at Harpur Hill was erected and consecrated in 1910, as a chapel of ease for the parish of Burbage. Between 1869 and 1910,Harpur Hill ws a district in the parish of Burbage served by its own curate. In 1975, Harpur Hill was united with other churches to form the parish of Buxton with Burbage and King Sterndale.
Custodial History
The records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in April 1994 and August 1996. Additional accessions were deposited in 2011 and 2015 (see D3954/UL).
