Administrative History | Woodville Parish Council was established in 1897 under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1894. It helped to provide local public amenities and services such as street lighting, recreation grounds, footpaths and public seating, as well as liaise with other local authorities over proposals or issues that might concern the area. Woodville Parish was formed in 1897 from parts of the parishes of Hartshorne, Derbyshire and Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. |
