Parish of Mellor St Thomas
Administrative History
Mellor was originally a chapelry of the parish of Glossop, including the township of Ludworth. Part of Mellor chapelry was added to the new parish of New Mills in 1831. Mellor became a separate parish in 1859. Although transferred to Cheshire in 1935, it remains in the diocese of Derby.
Custodial History
The records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in October 1993 and April 1994.
